Manuscripts and Hollande's visit

It seems that the Ahmed Baba Institute in Timbuktu has not been totally destroyed by the retreating Islamists, as feared two  days ago. President Hollande is to make a visit to this important manuscript library tomorrow on his Malian state visit.

 

In Djenne the work continues as usual, and here is Yelfa leaving through a newly arrived manuscript when I visited the Djenne Manuscript Library yesterday.
