And yet again!

In 2013, astonishingly,  new funding was yet again awarded by the  Prince Claus Foundation to Djennés Mission Culturelle, this time to plant yet more trees at Kaniana, another archaeological site which forms part of the Djenné UNESCO world heritage sites, and this time is was a question of Euro 32500 for the planting of another 3000 trees.

I always wonder about this pretentious title of Patrimoine Mondial de l'Unesco. What does it really mean and are governments committed to honouring this designation. I suspect as is the case here in Ottawa with the Rideau Canal, the Canadian Government is not really committed to it and would rather forget about it. Despite the fact that thousands of people use the canal each year. It is only a Patrimoine if people care otherwise it is just a title.
