Baba the Master Mason has let his instincts for grandeur overtake any sense of proportion and has totally ignored the instructions from Boucoum and myself. We asked him to stop at the height of the wall seen to the left. When I questioned Boucoum about this, he said that Baba is his father-metaphorically speaking- and that we must leave him to it. Fortunately it seems that we are now at the closing stages and tomorrow it will be finished.
