Meanwhile, on the same day, just after sunset prayers at 18.07 in Djenné, the southern tower of the Great Mosque collapsed.
This was due to the unseasonal 24 hours of continuous rain we had had at the beginning of the month. The Aga Khan Foundation has been here restoring the Mosque, and had stripped this towr of the protective mud layers, which made the water penetrate the core of the tower.
Noone was seriously hurt.

Is that Masada the same that J and I climbed with Juliette only a fortnight ago? Delighted that laggard Seibold has finally been checking you out properly. Much urging needed. We had an amazing time with them in Jerusalem. Not a happy place, but a very rich one to experience.

I should have added that you must be truly proud of what you achieved for Keita in Casablanca - his mother must have died thinking her son really was going to get better. And there can be few things more cruel than a child dying before his or her mother.
