Rainy season sunset for the people of Ukraine
Yes. I was amazed, once more, when looking at the statistics of who reads this journal of mine, to find that Ukraine tops the list, with 70 people today who have looked in!
I am very intrigued and very flattered that you are interested in what goes on in tiny Djenne, so far away... Perhaps you are escaping from your troubles and now I have reminded you again! Sorry! But I would love to know something about you: are you pro-Russian or Ukrainian patriots or both? Please send me a message in the comment section- and you don't have to talk politics at all by the way- I don't care whether you are Patriots or Pro-Russian, really... I just want to hear from you. And thank you so much for taking the time to read about us...

SpamBots, I fear, from my own experience. But let us be pleasantly surprised when a human being responds...
I'm not Ukrainian but Mexican. I arrived to your blog because last year I saw a TV documentary (I think by Deutsche-Welle) about the ship "General Soumare" and found your entry of September 8, 2012.
Since then, I read your blog once in a while, mostly because I got captivated by your story and writing. Keep the good job.
Well for the last 6 months my readership is also much more international than it ever was before. France came in on top of all other commentators when I wrote about a book on Schopenhauer. But then other countries started coming in strongly also and Canada and the USA the primary sources have fallen back. So who knows what is the reason for this traffic.
Hello David, Do you think? Yes, you are probably right. If there really were 70 Ukrainians a day reading this, I would have hoped at least ONE would have said hello? But I am glad there are Mexicans reading this- thank you Guanaco, so nice to hear from you and thank you for reading the blog!
Goodness, Laurent! A book on Schopenhauer! would love to see it -anything on line?-and would love to have an autographed copy- if you are in England sometime... Give it to David!
I did a start when I thought Laurent had written a book about Schopenhauer. But he has written ABOUT a book about Schopenhauer. Sorry to disappoint...
Yes, how lovely that you seek a Ukrainian but you do hear from a Mexican - I don't doubt that there are thousands in places around the world reading. Just - possibly - not Ukraine. I mistrust the high Russian figures I get too. China goes in waves, that's odd. And probably Poland too.
Hello! I am from Ukraine, from Kyiv. I'm pro-Ukrainian :) Your blog is very interesting. I think that people do not comment because the blog does not allow anonymous comments, and not many of readers are registered. But we read! :)
Hello Petrenko!
I am really delighted! You are a real Ukrainian and it may be true then- Ukrainians ARE reading this!
Well I am with you in my thoughts and hope and pray for a peaceful solution for your country!
